Kid Reports
Step 1 - Set up facility using the wizard
Once you have completed the 9 easy steps to create your facility it’s time to enter some events! Remember, you can always go back to the facility setup wizard at any time and make any changes that are needed by clicking on the appropriate step. For example, if you need to add a snack, just click on step 9 and add another snack. If you forgot to send the welcome email to the parents, click on step 8 and click on email parents. The wizard will always be available.
Step 2 – Download the KidReports app from the app store
Now that your facility is set up it is time to download the KidReports Application from the app store. As a reminder the following basic hardware is needed for the KidReports Application:
- A tablet (iPad or Android) or smartphone (iPhone or Android) with an internet connection. This is what the teacher will use to input the daily log activities.
- The other option is to visit our mobile website at https://secure.kidreports.com/m/
For all iPads and iPhones you will need to download the free app from the App Store. Search for “KidReports” in the App Store, or click here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/kidreports/id490028...
For all Android tablets and smartphones you will need to download the free app from the Android Market. Search for “KidReports” in the market, or click here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.kidrepor...
Step 3 – Add events and the daily report for the children
As soon as the installation is complete, your teachers can begin using the KidReports Application. Simply launch the application, enter the login information for your teacher, and you can begin recording events! To get started, select “Record Child Event”, select the teacher’s room, select a child in that room, then select an Activity (i.e. Lunch). Now, simply touch each item that the child had for lunch, press next, review the event details and once you are happy with them, press the ‘Save’ button and then select save. Congratulations! You have just entered your first KidReports event!
Record different events and activities throughout the day and once the day is complete, enter a “Daily Report” Activity in order to send the summary of all of the day’s events to the parent via email.
